Flix in the Stix - Feb 3rd 2012
The 2012 Optus Flix in the Stix tour returns to Dubbo in February. Under the stars at Lazy River Estate, Flix combines the screening of its collection of award winning short films with music from the highly acclaimed Australian singer songwriter, James Reyne performing live. Also featuring special guest and much celebrated Australian bush poet, Murray Hartin. So gather together your family and friends, pack a picnic and come along for a unique night out at Dubbo’s Lazy River Estate.

2011 Events
Brigid McLaughlin Designer Sale - Sunday 4th December
The delightful designs of Brigid McLaughlin will be on sale in the cellar door on Sunday 4th December. Come out for brunch or lunch (bookings essential) or just to browse through Brigid's lovely clothes.
There will also be a jewellery designer selling some beautiful jewellery, these designers will then host a class (see below) the following Friday.

Innovative Silver Jewellery Making Workshop - Friday 9th December 2011 (please note the date change)
A creative silver jewellery making workshop will take place at Lazy River on Friday 9th December.
Come along and learn how to make silver jewellery, take home your own piece and enjoy some lunch with the girls.
$160 includes all your equipment, lunch and a few drinks. The class will start at 9.30 and finish at 3.30pm.
The classes are only limited to 15 people max - so call now to book you spot.

Christmas Dinner @ Lazy River Restaurant - Saturday 3rd December or Sat 17th December 2011
December will see us open our cafe as a restuarant on Saturday 3rd and 17th. A delicious three course meal will be on offer, live music and christmas decorations will fill the cellar door.
Ideal for smaller work groups or for friends looking for a night out to celebrate the festive season - this is ideal!

Catherine Britt & James Blundell Live @ Lazy River - Sat 12th November 2011
Our first Live @ Lazy River event will take place on Saturday 12th November. Catherine Britt & James Blundell will be playing live in our cellar door. This will be an intimate show for 120 guests only, there will be canapes and drinks on arrival. Tickets are $110 and will sell out quickly so don't miss this opportunity to be up close and personal with Catherine Britt and James Blundell.

Food, Fashion & Fine Arts Feast Day - Sunday 9th October 2011
The Lazy River Food, Fashion & Fine Arts Feast Day will be held on Sunday 9th October 2011.
There will be a fantastic selection of fashion, food and art for sale in the grounds of our lovely vineyard.
There'll be live music, entertainment for the kids, great local produce available for lunch, wine tasting and more.....
Bring your picnic rug and enjoy the atmosphere on the banks of the Macquarie river. There will be plenty to eat for lunch including antipasto platters, gourmet BBQ, vietnamese rolls, noodles & gelato.
Entry is a gold coin donation to go towards the Pink Angels. Fresh Arts is also a part of our day, an art exhibition will be on display in the cellar door. Laura Holland from the Red Door Gallery will also be painting an artwork to be auctioned off at the end of the day, with proceeds towards the Pink Angels.

Men's Business Spanish Cooking Class - Friday 14th October 2011
Our final Men's Cooking Class will take place on Friday 14th October from 6pm. With a chef specialising in delicious Spanish Cuisine including tapas and paella, you will not be disappointed. As the cooking classes always run, there will be Spanish beer on offer and plenty of laughs as we send off the year in style. We'll be giving away lucky door prizes on the night as well as launching our new classes for 2012. Please contact the cellar door to reserve your spot. Tickets are $75.

Hippo Beach is also available for hire. Bring your own food and alcohol for a relaxed afternoon on the river.

Dubbo Jazz Festival - Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th August 2011
Lazy River is the place to be during this years Dubbo Jazz Festival.
On Saturday we will have the delightful Sally Street performing in the cellar door from 12.30pm.
Sally Street is one of Sydney's finest independent singer/songwriteres. Sally as returned with rave reviews from opening the Tangier Jazz Festival in Morocco "The delightful Australian Sally Street, was a hit at Castel Palace" reported Et-Tayeb Houdaifa iin La Vie eco as part of his June 2009 review of the Tanjazz Festival, wowed audiences for 7 weeks as a headline act at the Venetian Casino in Macau in 2008, opened the 2010 Sydney Multicultural Festival, the 2011 Every Woman Festival for International Women's Day, the Kings Cross Festival and has mesmerised crowds with her magnetic performances at the Newcastle Jazz Festival, Sydney's iconic music venue The Basement, The Vanguard, Slide, Star City Casino, the Gold Coast Jazz and Blues Club in Queensland and on the club scene around her home country.
Sally's self-penned original "Facebook Freak" was a finalist in the 2010 Great American Song Contest and "Balloons Are Blowing In The Air" which she penned with her pianist Gerard Masters was a finalist in the 2010 Australian Songwriting Competition.

On Sunday we will have popular local jazz band, Red Lounge performing from 12 midday.

Ladies Market Day - Sunday 1st May 11am
Sunday 1st May we will be holding a ladies market day. Gorgeous stalls will be set up inside the cellar door and lot of goodies will be available for sale.

Tim Gratton Art Exhibition - Friday 15th April (Ongoing)
Tim Gratton late last year re-located to Dubbo from Sydney. His artistic journey started whilst in the Royal Navy where he illustrated moments for the ‘Navy News’ over a period of twelve years. After leaving the RN he studied fine art painting and drawing at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Netherlands in addition to post graduate studies at the Bath Academy of Fine Arts, Bath, England. He has exhibited in Australia, Austria, England, Hungary, and the Netherlands in addition to his work being held in private and public collections including HRH Prince Charles and Microsoft Corporation. He is well known around the world for his expertise and contribution to the art form body painting.
Artist’s statement: Art can stimulate the imagination just as much as any external reality like fire, storm, thunder and yet art can express an internal reality of hope - philosophy - mood in ways that provoke the imagination and set it off to make more art therefore adding to the visible map of the mind. Art helps us to fully see that we are human!

Men's Business Cooking Classes (Ongoing)
Lazy River will once again host a series of Men’s Cooking Classes in 2011.
These Men’s cooking nights are a great opportunity to catch up with mates, meet new people and broaden your cooking skills & knowledge.
The classes are held on a Friday evening, with complimentary beers & wine on arrival from the country of the chosen cuisine.
This year we will be treating your taste buds to Chinese, Indian & Spanish. Our aim is to run each cooking class with a chef specializing in the chosen cuisine where possible.
There are plenty of opportunities to become involved during the class and recipes are provided so the meals can be prepared at home.
All meals prepared on the night are then enjoyed by all the guests.
Emails are regularly sent reminding our budding chefs on the up coming classes, so make sure you’re on our mailing list.
If you are interested in learning some new skills, meeting some new people or would just love the opportunity to catch up with friends over a cold beer then contact Lazy River to register.

We will have live music from 11am onwards and there will be free champagne on arrival for everyone.

Flix in the Stix - Feb 4th
On Friday 4th February legendary Australian rock star Mark Seymour will perform at Lazy River as part of the Flix in the Stix celebration. Flix in the Stix is an outdoor experience like no other. An intimate evening of quality short films and live music under the stars.
