Terms and conditions

We appreciate that most guests will respect our beautiful Boat House Villa but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following Terms and Conditions. Variations to these Terms and Conditions may only be made with the owner of Lazy River Estate in writing.

 DEFINITIONS

“Booking” means the period for which you have stayed, or intend to stay, at the property

Property” means the premises you have booked and all it’s fixtures, fittings and equipment

“Management” or “Owner” means Peter and Pamela Scott

“Guests” means the persons who stay overnight at the property during the booking

“Visitor” means a person or guest permitted to visit the property during the booking

CAPACITY

All rates are for a maximum of 4 guests in the existing bedding (two queen size beds). These rate includes children – children are not in addition to 4 adult guests.

Additional guest rates of $35 per person per night apply if you require single rollaway beds. A maximum of 6 guests may stay in the Boat House Villa. No exceptions to this rule will be made.

Visitors to the property must have prior approval from management

 VALIDITY

The rates included in this package are valid only for 2017.

 PAYMENT

We accept Visa and Mastercard.

Payment of 100% of the tariff is required at the time of booking to secure the booking

Lazy River Estate will retain your credit card details and any loss or damage to the property, cleaning fees or after hours call outs will be charged to your credit card.

 CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Our check in time is after 2pm and check out time is before 10am

Early check in and late check out may be requested but cannot be guaranteed

In circumstances where the property is vacated on the same day as your arrival, then the check in time may be later

Check in and out times may change up to 7 days before your arrival

Lazy River Estate will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However, Lazy River Estate reserve the right to make alternations to bookings due to unforseen circumstances.

The keys to the Boat House Villa are located in a small safe on the wooden beam next to the sliding door at the back of the villa (alfresco area and car park side). You will be provided with a code at the time of booking confirmation via email. Enter the code into the safe and remove the keys. These keys will open the glass sliding door.

To check out, please place the keys back in the safe and enter your code again to lock the keys inside the safe.

If you have any problems locating the keys, opening the safe or gaining access into the Boat House Villa, please contact 0405 726 352 or 0408 726 887 for assistance.

The keys are your responsibility for the duration of your stay. Please note that a call-out fee of $100 may be charged to your credit card should you lock yourself out or lose keys during your stay.

A fee of $50 will be charged to your credit card for any lost or damaged keys.

 GUEST RESPONSIBILITY, LOSS & INJURY

 Payment of the rental tariff constitutes the guests’ acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

If a guest is booking on behalf of other people, the person booking the accommodation is responsible for the property and for making all guests and visitors aware of the house rules and these Terms and Conditions

You must be at least 18 years of age to book accommodation with Lazy River Estate

Lazy River Estate does not accept any responsibility for damage to or loss of any guest’s property left  in the Boat House Villa during or after their stay. If property is left behind and needs to be returned, this will be done at the guests cost.

Lazy River Estate accepts no responsibility for any personal injury that may be incurred whilst staying at the property.

Guests and Visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties especially between 10pm - 8am and during arrival and departure at any time throughout the occupancy.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental.  No music should be played outside of the house and any music and noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in termination of permission to occupy the Property, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges for security and other expenses which may be deducted from Security Deposit or Bond under the Terms and Conditions

Guests and Visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour and must minimise their impact upon the residential amenity of neighbours and local community. Guests are responsible for ensuring that Visitors comply with these House Rules.

CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENTS

Where a guest elects to cancel the booking, any monies paid will be forfeited in lieu of the property being re-let for the same period.

Lazy River Estate will make every effort to re-let the property within the given time frame and if successful, will refund to the booking party all monies paid less an administration fee of $35.

If additional fees applied for one or two additional guests and the number of guests is reduced, a refund of 50% will be refunded provided the agreed letting period is maintained.

Lazy River Estate does not refund any payments for guests who cancel or change their booking seven days prior to the arrival date.

Lazy River Estate reserves the right to cancel any booking if we deem the group to be not suited to our accommodation, or if the booking is in breach of any of our Terms and Conditions.

If your booking is found to be in breach of our Terms and Conditions, you may lose all monies paid to Lazy River Estate.

 PARTIES AND PRIVATE OR CORPORATE FUNCTIONS

Organised parties and functions are prohibited at the Boat House Villa at Lazy River Estate without prior written approval.  If unauthorised parties, functions or events are held Lazy River Estate reserves the right to cancel your booking and forfeit the full balance paid.

No corporate or organised catering may be arranged or brought onto the property without prior written approval from management.

The facilities at the house are available ONLY to the guests who are booked and paid for. If you are intending to invite day guests, you must receive prior agreement in writing. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Use contrary to this may result in additional charges.

 AFTER HOURS CALL OUTS

Guests who require after hours service are to call our emergency number: 0408 726 352 or 0408 726 887.

If the owner or staff are required for onsite assistance outside the hours of Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, that is the result of loss of keys, lock out of accommodation or any issue that arises that is  not the responsibility or fault of Lazy River Estate, a call out fee of $100 may be charged to your credit card.

 CHILDREN

Children are permitted to stay at Lazy River Estate but are to be included in the total guest numbers. The rates are for a total of four guests staying in the existing bedding and additional fees apply for use of the two single rollaway beds or for an additional two guests staying on single rollaway beds. A maximum of 6 guests may stay in the Boat House Villa.

Constant visual supervision of children is required at all times. The abundance of native wildlife in the area can be a danger to children – please be vigilant.

Please be advised that there are no fences separating the Macquarie River from the property. Always keep children at arms-length when near the water and do not swim in the river.

 QUOTING POLICY

Any quotes received directly from Lazy River Estate are valid for a period of 30 days only. The provision of a quote does not guarantee availability of the accommodation until the full tariff has been paid and your booking is confirmed.

 PARKING

Undercover parking for up to three vehicles is available in the car port attached to the Boat House Villa.

Cars must be parked in the designated parking area and not on the lawns or amongst the vines.

 DEPARTURE

The property must be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Please ensure all windows and doors are locked, the air conditioners and electronic devices are turned off, the barbeque has been cleaned, dishes have been washed and put away and the dishwasher unpacked. An additional cleaning fee will be charged to your credit card should this action be deemed necessary.

 EQUIPMENT

If there is a problem due to malfunctioning equipment, report it immediately, whenever possible - do not leave your report until check-out. We will do our best to fix or replace malfunctioning items.  We do not issue refunds for problems with Satellite TV, phone, Internet, VCR/DVD players or anything else that is not considered a necessity.  We will make every effort to have repairs done ASAP.

Hi-Fi, stereo equipment and TVs are set up for your use.  Please do not unplug or play with connections. Instructions for use of this equipment can be found in the house compendium.

 SMOKING

Smoking inside the Boat House Villa is not permitted. Please do not discard butts on the lawns and gardens.

 PETS

Pets may not be brought onto the property without the prior written approval of the owner.

The owner will not accept responsibility of any pets or animals on the property.

 INSURANCE

Lazy River Estate recommends that you obtain travel insurance. This insurance can protect against loss of personal belongings, public liability and also against your need to cancel under certain conditions.

 FIRES

Fires may not be lit anywhere on the property at any time of the year.

 DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

If you have booked a breakfast hamper and have any dietary requirements, please advise us at the time of booking and we would be more than happy to cater for your requirements.

 PERSONAL INFORMATION & PRIVACY POLICY

Your personal information obtained from this website is used, where you have so requested. To provide products and services to  you, to provide you with information, and to send newsletters or other communication to you.

Lazy River Estate may use your personal information for direct marketing or promotional activities however, if we do undertake such activities you will be provided with an opportunity when first contacted to unsubscribe from any further communication from us.

We do not pass guest details on to any third parties or external entities.
